How AI Will Disrupt Business Models
Artificial intelligence (AI) will disrupt traditional business models. Here are two examples: First, as we rely more on AI agents to make purchasing decisions for us, the power of brand and recommendations may diminish. Second, time-based billing models used by many professionals such as lawyers and designers will be disrupted as AI makes them more efficient. New value-based or results-based compensation models will likely emerge to better capture the value they provide. (This is good news for law firms like ours that have built innovative business models.) Overall, AI has the potential to transform business models across industries by optimizing workflows, reducing costs, and enabling more meritocratic and objective decision making. Jobs to Be Done
A North Star Metric aligns company priorities around a top-line goal. Identify the core "job to be done" for your product. Then choose a metric measuring your ability to fulfill that job. For example, Plaid's job is linking bank accounts, so it tracks "accounts linked." Miro enables remote collaboration, so it targets "collaborative boards." Twitch helps users watch gamers, so it focuses on "five-minute plays." Lyft provides quick rides, so it tracks "number of rides." The North Star Metric should quantify fulfilling the user's core need. It rallies the company around what matters most to customers. Future (12 minutes)

Founder FAQs: What is a Certificate of Incorporation?
A certificate of incorporation is a legal document that creates a corporation. It may also be called a corporate charter or articles of incorporation. The certificate is filed with the Secretary of State or a similar agency in the state where the corporation is being formed. The certificate contains basic information about the corporation, including its name, purpose and structure. It also establishes the rights and responsibilities of the corporation’s owners (shareholders), directors and officers. Westaway (6 minutes)
